Headunit install
Is there some trick to installing a headunit on a 1995 integra SE. I had the whole shifter trim and bottom dash removed and i still couldn't figure out how to pull out the factory headunit. If anyone has any tips id really appreciate it. Thanks
I just did my HU install today. I first took off the rear console ( the part over the e-brake. Then I pull out the ash tray and took off that section (gotta undo the cig lighter harness too). Then I took off the front console (the part that is over the shifter). Then if you look from underneath, there are 2 bolt that hold the stock HU in place. then you should be able to pull out the stock HU and the tray.
Here is a good link with pics. http://integra.cyberglobe.net/caraudio/diagrams/
and here is a link with pics for an automatic. Look under Projects and the electronics http://www.team-integra.net/

there are 2 srcews in the rear of the factory HU. Those have to be removed or you will do some damage. They are hard to get at. I used a universial joint on a ratchet. try that if it works.
