Headunit
There are a few offerings from Kenwood/Alpine/Pioneer, but my honest opinion would be to save another $100 or so and look in to some of the better models from any of those brands.
I have been hearing alot of good things about the Alpine 9887, which is one I am looking to get at some point and it's not that much more than your current price range.

alpine cde-102 or cda-105
the cda 9887- is a great deck, my freind has it and i have the lower model cda 9884 ( which i belive the cda 105 is the same as 9884) and i love it, works great and have never given me any problems, only thing is you pay a lot more for the 9887, i belive its a 100+ more, but its definelty money well spent.

http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/prod...?model=CDA-105 simple and an easy install if your gar is a G2.
http://www.alpine-usa.com/US-en/prod...model=CDA-9887 more features but just as easy to install, but your paying a lot more for features you may not need. 94
