Default head unit problems

sometimes it will refuse to turn on, even though it *supposedly* has power. then it will randomly turn back on, usually after i run my car a bit and then turn it back on. does this mean that its just a problem with the battery? because it most recently did this to me when i had to jumpstart my car after having it inspected (dumbasses left something on i guess) and everything else was working, but the head unit seemed to be dead. i drove about 10 miles to the mall to meet up with some people, and as soon as i turned the car back on the head unit fired right up.

also, could the system itself be any part of the problem? everything is wired correctly and working perfectly (for the time being...)

im a bit worried because i bought this system only about 6 months ago so the kenwood guarantee is over and im not sure if there could be a problem with the head unit (or anything else)

thanks in advance!

heres some pics if they help any

Sounds like you fried the head unit when you jump started the car. Most people do it incorrectly and anything that is left on can get fried, including your ECU. It's important what order you put the cables on and that you ground the cable to the chassis or motor and not directly to the battery.

the problem started before i jumpstarted the car, but that was the most recent occurrance. its working perfectly right now. im just wondering what the problem could be since this isnt the first time it happened, and how i can fix it.
