HALO lights how do they work?
Halo projection lights. I was just wondering how they work. I tried to find the stuff on the internet but got nothing but ads.

You mean the halos themselves?
They illuminate by refraction through a glass (or plastic) rod (the halo).
Usually, The halo is cut at the bottom, and 2 LEDs are aimed at the cuts. When powered up, the light bounces around inside the halo and lights it up all the way around.

Re: (B18C_EJ8)
well, i have a 1993 dx coup that has a broken headlight so i was going to replace both assemblies with aftermarket ones. I found zenon gas, halo projection, and HID. I am hoping someone out there knows the differences between these. Because I sure as hell don't.
So let me phrase this in a little question. What are the different characteristics of these lights?

Just varying degrees of rice... HID's are generally brighter and nearer to natural light but more technical installation (with ballasts etc...)
Regular projector halos usually just have a replacement harness because they generally draw a bit more current than the stock harness can handle, so you just have to hook the harness up to 12v...
