pioneer f700bt or kenwood dnx5120. both good units. pioneer's interface is easier to use but the kenwood uses garmin navigation which, i think, is much better than pioneer's nav. i bought the pioneer avic-d3 which has nav but I don't really like it so i bought a seperate Magellan Maestro gps.

There are many available on the market right now, one of the better ones being the Alpine 515, and the Kenwood 5120. Personally I really prefer the new line up of Kenwoods over the new line up of Pioneers. Pioneer units look cheap IMO, at least the entry level ones. The Alpine 515 is an amazing unit, great sound output, and very easy to navigate. There is a pro/con feature with the 515, you need to purchase the GPS seperate(con) however, it is a portable unit, that slides into the 515. Meaning that you can have a full 7" screen displaying your GPS in the car, then you can physically take the GPS unit out, and use it in a friends car.

What kind of car do you have? Most double din setups should fit into your car. If you check out crutchfield.com it will tell you exactly what fit's w/o modification in your exact model vehicle. That may not be the cheapest place to order from but the site can be helpful.
