Default good line level adapter?

I want to put an 8w7 I have laying around into my 04 Acura TL.
I also have a 600 watt PG xenon amp laying around. I want to use the factory sub speaker level output to power the amp unless there is a better way I don't know about.

What is a decent line level output convertor?

I know some of you guys own or work in stores. I'm also looking to buy a ported box and a 4 guarge wiring kit. Found a ported box on ebay for $100 shipped and a 4 guage wiring kit for $60.

If you can beat or match or come really close I'd be willing to buy everything from you. Let me know thanks.

What model of amp?

Does it not have speaker level, [high level] inputs?

http://staub.ca/catalog/partdetail.aspx?partno=LC-2
http://staub.ca/catalog/partdetail.aspx?partno=SNI-15

I have used both the above with good results. 94

It does not have line level inputs. I was hoping that someone made an adapter specific to the TL.

I may just see if I can find the stock amplifier and locate the low level inputs. I don't like the idea of line level inputs.

what are the specs of the ported box? I usually shy away from ported prefabs since they're either tuned too high or don't have enough port area.

If anything, you should get one built.

Gee...I didn't know that......ugg..../sarcasm

If I found what I was looking for then that probably means what I found was in spec enough to suite my needs. If I cared that much I would build my own. I just don't care enough anymore to invest the time or energy. Pretty much the same way I approach this forum anymore. So unless you know of an adapter or a good line level adapter please go annoy someone else.

That seems like a good one I think I might get that one out of pure laziness.

Thanks to everyone who posted.

You would think the aftermarket would do a better job at creating adapters. So many cars now come with stereos you cant really remove. Things will get even more integrated and it will be more difficult to remove stereos in the future.

Nice but twice as expensive. Even $100 I think is to much for a LOC.

That one looks decent but what's the price and how would I order? Do I have to call, do they not have a web store?

*edit* found it on Amazon for $12 I might try it first just to see. Worst thing that could happen is I lose $12.
Do you have any problems with ground loops?

Cleansweep would be worthless in the TL since the signal is full and flat on all channels.

The SNI would work, though.

AudioControl LCQ-1 is gonna be a wicked option also. used one two weeks ago, and it did a great job.

I went ahead and just purchased the one you recommended FCM. The way I see it if it doesn't work I'm just out $12 and I'll get the audio control. Otherwise I'm ahead $82.

Cool thanks that was a huge help better then poking around blind with a multi meter.
Probably shouldn't post that to the web though if you want it to work much longer.
