Default Good alarm features!?!?!?!?!!?!?!?!??!?

i've been reading thru other posts and was wondering about the best alarm features to get. From what I understand it shoudl be fuel cut, igintion cut and prox sensors seem to be just whether they're in my favor or not. But is there anything else that I must get for a decent alarm. Also am I right, but brand doens't really seem to matter.

Get a backup siren in the engine bay, and one inside the car. Get a pageing system. Brand doesn't really matter. Installation is key. And get a hood pin.

Something else to consider is lo-jack and window film which makes it really difficult to break the windows, nothing will stop pro's but you can buy time.

good idea Dr.Pooface!.. I would suggest hiding out the backup siren somewhere that is not visable. cuz they can juss rip it out with the siren goin off and throw that **** away.. Paging system is another good idea. but can be annoying .

Luke,
where can you get the window film you're talking about? I've looked at a couple of webpages, but most where I saw stuff like that on are armored car companies... anyplace else?

thanx

get ur connections soddered as opposed to just screwed into the contacts, every bit helps, and fer god sakes put the brain of the alarm somewhere creative, one of the nicer places i've seen was hidden inside a rear seat cushion

Teken,
Thanks for the info. What does it mean to shunt regulate the system? Is it some sort of parallel connection that'll set it off if the wires are tampered with?

thanx

Thanks man! I have a bunch more questions now. Rather than ask them all here, is there a place to get some more info on this? I haven't looked much online, most of the stuff I've found are product ads, no real technical info. If you know of any resources (schematics maybe), I'd appreciate the help.

thanks again
