Default getting the theft code of a radio.....

heres the deal. i bought a 90 crx si about 1.5 years ago and in that car was a 90s prelude radio.. when i got the car i called my local dealership and they told me the theft code for the radio. everything was peachy. then i got a sony deck for the car and soon after i sold the car wit hthe sony deck. just a week ago or so i had found the old prelude radio and sold it to some one on here. but i had forgotten that it needed that theft code. now he can't get the code from honda and i just tried and they won't let me have it either!!! so i am stumped. can some one lend me a hand? i have all the info on the radio including the serial number and all.. i don't want to post it though in case thats a bad idea for some reason.
thanks for any info ahead of time!

This gets asked once a week, try a search for common questions like this. To answer your question, bring your VIN to the dealership and they will give you the code. You may even be able to get it over the phone but who knows.

cuz i don't have the vin. i got the radio with a crx i bought.
when i first bought the car i called the dealership and they gave it to me right over the phone, now they say they can't give it to me.
i think your post would have been more helpful if u read mine.

Any chance you can get ahold of the guy you bought the car from and see if he for some reason he has the code? Or if he knows what car the radio originally came from?

Also, you originally got the code through a dealer, is that the dealer you went back to? Do you have a history with any dealership (buying a new car, getting repairwork done there)? (if so, go there of course)
