Icon2 Fuel pump killswitch

I have a 2000 civic si. (Em1) I want to install a kill switch to the fuel pump. I know the power wire to the fuel pump in yellow and green, well with my car i have two yellow and green wires exactly the same. Which on to i cut and run to a switch?

The first pic shows two wires that are yellow and green. The wire with the black electrical tape goes to the fuel pump and the other yellow and green wire goes to the gray plug.

You will need to get a DMM (digital multimeter). You will need to use the ground wires. Also look into using the Main relay as a kill instead of the fuel pump. Like Desmond states "A thief could tag 12 volts to the pump and your kill is killed"

I'm not sure of the location of the main relay in a 2000 civic, but this should give you a idea from the post above: http://www.team-integra.net/forum/17...ml#post2416875

Cut the black wire and extend it to both sides of a switch. I used this switch from WalMart:

Sorry but disabling the fuel pump by the main relay doesn't prevent a theif from running 12V straight to the pump. That would still turn the pump on.

The main relay kills the fuel pump and fuel injectors. Twist 3 wires together and they are back to working. The main relay is a good start but I would find some additional spots to kill.
Preferably harder to get to then right under the dash or back seat. Layer your kills and hide them well.

Another tip I use is keep you alarm wires short. Replace all the wiring with a solid color. I use black. It's much harder to figure out what wire does what when all wires look the same.
