EXTRA BATTERY ??
umm.. so i need another battery to power my two tens cuz it will work for like twenty seconds then it dies out . anyone have experiences with this. cuz im pretty lost rite now. i know its not the amp or the wiring .
Unless your batt. is bad you have some other problem, possibly a short or low impedance, low current because of poor connections.
If you have an AGU fuse, [big glass type] on the amps power lead, replace it, even if it looks good.
Need more info...
1- MM&Y of car..
2- Make and model of amp
3- What is the amp running?
4- Make and model of speaker(s) amp is running
5- Where is amp mounted, and how/to what?
6- Where is amp grounded, and how/to what?
7- How long is the amps ground lead?
8- What gauge is the amps power and ground leads?
9- Is the amps power lead connected directly to the batt. pos.(+) post?
10- When the amp cuts out, how do you get it to work again?
Please answer all the above, it will make it easier to figure out what your problem is.

It does not sound like your problem has anything to do with your battery.
You would only need a second battery if you were having troubles with the battery dying when the car is turned off. Otherwise it's the alternator providing all the current. If you do end up adding a second battery you will need to get an isolator.
