Default extending siren, adding tilt sensor

Sup ht. I have a Viper 3305v 2way. I wanna relocate my siren because of where its at, its not as loud as I expected. To relocate it im gonna have to extend the wires.. would I need to disconnect my car battery? Then again I also have a back up batt installed also.

Another question is I wanna add a tilt sensor. To wire a tilt sensor in.. do I just wire it up and itll work? Or do I need to "program" my remote to know that I have installed a tilt sensor?

Any postive input is appreciated.

No. You don't have to disconnect the battery because the alarm isn't triggered, that's the only time there is 12v coming from the siren output.

If your alarm doesn't have a port for the tilt sensor then you'll have to manually wire it in. There's 3 wires

1. Blue - connects to instant trigger, use diode and stripe facing tilt sensor
2. Orange - connects to GWA, use diode and stripe facing alarm
3. Red - Connects to constant 12v, use 5a fuse (could be wrong here)

If NONE of this makes sense to you, go to www.the12volt.com and READ. If that doesn't help, then take it to a professional installer.

I forgot about the12volt.com.. my installer is 2 hours away from me and work has been busy and will be for the next month.. I just needed a few things to be clear. I appreciate it! Will read more on 12volt!
