Electrical COnnectors
I need to know how to get the wires out of a connector so I can rewire it for my application. I have read a few things about using a paperclip but no real explanations. Can anyone help?

There are more then a few types of "connectors" and more then a few ways used to "retain" them in the plugs, using 4 different "locking" systems...
1- Locking clip/tab is on the metal pin, [connector] itself.
2- Locking clip/tab is in the plug.
3- Locking clip/tab is on the metal pin, and a secondary lock is on or installed into the plug.
4- Locking clip/tab is in the plug and secondary lock is on or installed into the plug.
And although a paper clip could be used to release some pins, it will damage the plug and/or pin in most cases.
I have about 15 "depinning tools" most are tools from Snap On others are tools other then Snap On, and some are "home made".
Can you take a few pix, [different angles] of plug that has the pins, [connectors] you want to depin, and tell us what it is and MM&Y of car it's in, and we can be a lot more help.

Thank you or your help. It is a small JDM/Acura pin. It has a white locking insert in the rear.
I went to honda and they showed me how to take the wires without a damaging anything. You have to pry the plastic lock peive back inside the conector and the peice comes right out. Thanks for your help.

I have the connector empty. I am now trying to use the JDM connector with the USDM pins from the Climate control. Does anyone know where I can find JDM female pin connectors for inside of the JDM connector?I will have a pic of them later tonight.

The plug I am trying to find the metal female insert for the connector housing I have. The female insert is about 1.5 mm long with a .4mm opening. It has a box end at the opening and seperate crimps for the electrical wire connection and for wire connection for strength. Any help would be appreciated.
