Default electric charge the car to kill electronics?

some guy on another forum said something about alarms and kill switches do nothing since you can just electric charge and that will kill all the electronics. then just tow it away. anything to prevent this or is he just talking out of his ***?

Yes it's true, however the equipment is not cheap and easily avalable.

There is only one sure fire way, absolutely guaranteed to work, no crook in the world could steal it, even with a tow truck.

Don't own a car.

Not installing an alarm just because it could still be stolen, [by the right person, under the right conditions with the right equipment] is defeatist, you may as well not get out of bed, because you could trip and fall down, you may as well not go out, you may get mugged, you better not cross the street, you could get hit by a buss and so on and so on and so on.
There are no absolutes 94

PS... except for the one I mentioned.

I'm guessing the idiot that told him this was referring to a stun gun or stun stick which is total crap. You would need something that produced a huge emf charge. Extremely unlikely that someone could afford such a device.
