hey i just bought a 1990 civic sedan and when i tried to put in a aftermarket cd player the harness i bought (which said 1986-1998 Honda/Acura Vehicles) didnt fit! pictures are still uploading and will post pic once uploaded.

 

 

Well my question is that the oem harness b/c it looks like it was cut and re-taped together or did i just buy the wrong stereo harness?

What harness did you buy? Did you buy one from Wal*Mart?

 

The harness in the car is not a Honda harness, it is something else, the last guy probably hardwired his HU harness to the OEM radio harness, you can do the same, you do not need the aftermarket harness adaptor. 94

Shitty deal. I have an 88 Sedan, and I have the factory tape player and harness, hoping to find a stock CD player to work in it. I am going to pick up an ITR cd player, so I hope it works. The harness plug looks identical to mine.
