Default Dumb Question

If I disconnect the battery for a intake install, does that reset my system? I have a Alpine Head, couple subs, couple amps, and upgraded door speakers. Will I have to go and retune the system afterwards? This is for my chevy tahoe. Also how are the Optima batteries in cold weather? Worth getting? Can you tell Im a Audio nOOb?

Nothing should change at all. Just reset the clock on the headunit and you should be fine. Most have a non-volitile(sp?) memory, so the settings should be retained during a power loss. An optima will be fine in the cold weather.

Not sure about yours but my head unit loses all of its settings after a power loss, you shouldn't have to reset anything else.
Often this will be as simple as re tuning the bass, treble, balance and fader controls.

My deck losses all radio stations to, but crossovers, delay times, and cd titles are wiped out.

BTW, You doin't need to disconnect the bat for an intake install.
