Default DOOR LOCKS

I recently purchased an alarm system for my car. I'm having difficulty doing it my self becuse I'm unsure of the wiring. If someone can help me the corresponding wire this would be great!

1. (-) lock output
2. (-) unlock output
3. (-) rearm output
4. (-) disarm output
5. (+) positiver door input
6. (-) Starter kill output
7. (-) Negative door input

This wiring connection would be for a 97HONDA CIVIC!

I do believe that the door wires are GREEN/ORANGE & GREEN/WHITE also light GREEN/RED are all doors. I do not understand the polarity.

PS. The alarm is a prostart CT-5000 and the installion manual can be view online at http://www.prostart.org. You will be looking at pg5 12pin accessories harness for the above information.

Thanks guys.

1-door lock green/white green plug behind radio
2-doorunlock green/orange "
3- not used
4- not used
5- not used
6- starter kill output used to trip relay for starter interrupt black/white ign. harn.
7- neg. door trigger lt. green/red green plug behind radio

this wireing is for 97 civic HX,LX,EX the DX and CX do not have the green plug behind radio and are as follows

1,2,3,4,5,6 not used
6- starter kill same as above
7- neg door trigger green/black drivers ' A' pillar

hope this helps 94

PS the polarity is just what the wires need to "see" eg. 5 (+) door input , will trip alarm when pos. is supplied ,[ ford door pins] 7 (-) door input, will trip alarm when neg. is supplied, [Honda door pins, and almost all other cars]

THe wire you need are going to be taped up in a green factory alarm harness. Even if the car did not come with factory keyless. On the 96 97 models, this harnes is behind the radio. Neg trigger door locks, which are the norm on all honda, except certain 04 odysey<SP>, work like this: There are two wire that activate the actuator (motor) of the locks. When one of the wire touches ground, and the other does not, your door will lock. If the other of the two touch ground, and the other does not, it unlocks. Its called reverse polarity.

Wires.
-Positive door out. DONT use cut and tape.
-Door trigger is in the driver kick.(WHEN DOME LIGHT IS activated by door open, alarm triggers.
-arm/re arm not ness. on Civic.
-Starter kill output goes to a relay which should be in alarm package.
--- one wire goes to ignition(black/yellow) in steering col. , the starter out put to the corresponding wire, and two other wires connect to the starter wire ( white/black) in the steer. col. One of those wires goes towards the key and the other towards the starter. YOu have to cut the (White/Black).

TIP, the parking lights are easy on this car. Get a Speaker (female) connector. On the fuse box itself, there are three open (male) connectors. Test with a test light or probe by turning the lights on and off. This will go positive when the lights are turned on.

Hope this helps.

THANKS GUYS. I FINALLY GOT IT TO WORK AND WORKS LIKE A CHARM. The unit came with a hood pin switch so I tied it into the (-) door input so it acts like a fifth door. I have one thing left and that's the trunk. It has a seperate dome or interior light which comes on when the trunk is openned. It runs off the same fuse as that of the door light but is independent. Meaning when I open the door the light inside the car goes on but the one in the trunk is off. Similarily when I open the trunk the light in side the trunk comes on but the one in the car is off. Anyhow, I have the day off from work so I'll be giving it a shot. However, if anyone knows which wire triggers the trunk light and let me know this would be great.

AGAIN THANKS GUYS YOU SAVED ME DAYS AND MAYBE EVEN MONTHS OF WORKING ON THIS....LOL.

THANKS TO ALL OF YOU THAT HELPED ME WITH THIS PROJECT. It took some time but I saved myself a lot of money. Once you are familiar with the wiring I can't believe how easy it is and the prices people charge. My alarm now works. THANK YOU AGAIN GUYS.

PROBLEM SOLVED!!!!!!!!!!
