On another post you said you installed a HU in your car so I assume you have an aftermarket HU.

What is the make and model of the sub and amp?

You should not need anything more then an "amp kit", power wire gauge will depend on the amps RMS power into whatever load. [impedance] the sub presents to the amp.

Maybe some 12ga speaker wire for the sub.

A cap may or may not be needed, again it depends on the amps RMS power.

Feel free to IM me if you have other questions. 94

I should have added, not only what the amps RMS wattage is, but how loud you like to play your tunes.

I'm running 800 wrms with no cap, and my lights don't dim. So in your case, you would not need a cap.
