Default Disklok: Anyone hear of this security device?

I like the fact that it covers the entire steering wheel to prevent cutting.

It comes in at a hefty price, but it seems worth it.

Opinions?

ttt

I'd like some opinions on this too... If they aren't towing your ride, how the heck could anyone remove this or steer with it on!?

Looks pretty decent to me...

Exactly! The only way I see they can defeat it is torch it.

Or if they can manage to remove the steering wheel completely...

I was thinking about getting an aftermarket steering wheel with quick release, but this is better security and safety (airbag) for a daily driver.

It comes with a trailer for storage, that's why it's so expensive. Looks like it'd be somewhat effective though.

That brings a question: would you rather have a thief see it from afar and not bother with it or would you rather have them walk up close only to finally realize there's some sort of protection on it?

Makes me wonder if the members in the security forum would rather have a device "look good" rather than do its job (directed to nobody in particular).

How about getting some black VHT wrinkle paint...so you can match your valve cover.

The bright yellow would attract the attention of almost anyone passing by.
