I recently swapped my interior out on my 94 integra. Before the swap my deck was working perfectly fine. today i tried hooking it up back again and it wasnt working, i checked all the fuses they were all ok and checked the wires for the harness and they were ok too and still there is no power going to the radio.
whats wrong?
whats wrong?
The make and model of HU, "deck" would help.
When you checked the two fuses for the HU, fuse 28 - 10A, [hot in acc. and run] in under dash fuse box and fuse 47 - 7.5A, [hot at all times] in engine bay fuse box, did you just eyeball them or did you test them with a meter or test light?
If you do not have a multimeter or test light, test the fuses in another circuit, that you know works, or replace the fuses with new ones. or known good ones.
A couple more question, if it is an aftermarket "deck" did you check it's fuse and if an aftermarket unit, did you use a harness adapter or it the HUs harness "hardwired" to the stock radio harness?

also check to make sure your power, ignition, and ground wires were not disconnected.
if u still cant figure it out you can use a 12v drill battery to test the radio out of the car.

Kenwood Excelon KDC-X591 CD Receiver is the deck i got, i switched the 7.5 because last time they blew out from the deck but still nothing and im using a harness adapter with my deck
I've never taken the radio out of this car, but it might have had a ground wire attached to the back of the radio(not in the harness) from the metal dash brace. That is if it's factory radio.

How Do you go about doing that ?? What do I need to do to test it with my car battery ? Do I just touch the acc n battery wire to + side of the battery & ground to - ??

Yes connect the red and yellow to the batt. pos.(+) post and the black the the batt.(-) post, make sure none of the other wires touch anything, including each other.
