Default in-dash dvd and regular cd player

so im thinking about buying an in-dash dvd player for my car, is it still possible to just tap the wires so i can run the in-dash and my current cd player? the in-dash is going to have the basic dvd/cd/mp3/am-fm/usb/sd

would this be an ok idea to do or should i just run one or the other?

thanks

Chances are, an in-dash DVD player will have a radio tuner and will play cd's, so there's really no reason for having two.

However, if you're hell bent on having two units, provided your car is able to accept two single-din decks, you'll need to isolate the audio outputs from each other, or just remember to never have them on at the same time.

i'll probably just get one that has the main unit and a unit for the screen so i can mount them in different spots (96-98 cup holder)

but another question i have is, for the in-dash will i be able to hook it up so that i can still watch movies etc while driving?

No you will not.

A. Because it's illegal
B. Because it's stupid and you'll kill yourself and or someone else

Good luck explaining that to law enforcement, because in most areas/municipalities, if it's within view of the driver, you will be ticketed.
