This is a crazy idea, but is it possible?
I don't see why not, only thing is it won't sound that great...
one way is to take the actual speaker out of the box, remove the internal AC powered amp, run new wires to a small DC powered amp to power it.
the X230 is small... not that great...not worth the trouble...
now if you have logitech's high end systems, Z-2300Z, Z-5450, Z-5500, or Z5300e, and for some reason you blew the internal amp or something...and the speaker is fine... maybe it might be worth it.
OR
you can ghetto fab it... get an DC-AC inverter that can supply the needed amps to power your X230, use the Line out of your head, or a Line out converter.. connect that to the stereo input of the x230.. and mount the vol remote near the dash.

Yes, it's possible. How? Disconnect the internal amp and run it off your headunit. The built-in amp only provides 20w rms at 10% thd; I'm sure an aftermarket headunit can do better than that.
