constant power not working

Default constant power not working

k well i just installed my indash unit from my hatch into my teg the yellow wire on the factory harness worked before i accidentally touched 2 of the wires together and blew a fuse now i have the constant wire run to the red power wire and that is the only way it will work i cant keep my clock set or my stations pre-set is there anyway to fix this

fuse under the hood perhaps ? on a eg its backup on a teg i dont know lol

I second that, it should be fuse box under the hood. usually a 7.5

Ditto the above on a g3 teg it's fuse 47 -7.5A in the under hood fuse box, it may not be big enough for a lot of today's "high power" HUs, DO NOT replace with a bigger fuse, it is better to run a fused 12ga lead from the batt. to behind the HU and connect the yellow to it, [just like you would power an amp].

What is the make and model of your HU?

BTW if it's a g2, the constant power fuse is fuse 22- 10A in under dash fuse box. 94

k fixed my car before i fixed though tonight i was driving and my cd player cut off like 2 times and then came back on could that have been the prob. or do you think my alternator is going out **** hopefully not you gotta drop one side of the motor dont you if it does go out its not like an eg and when it cut off the check engine light came on and clock went off what you think

Model number should be on the unit, [face plate maybe] 94

might want to check the power lead on the HU make sure you have a stong connection
but it sounds like its a loose connection there .
