It will work just fine thats the size battery I replaced mine with. I would recommend everyone that buys the 520t to swap it out for a battery like that.

You have no worries. The charging circuit in that device is just a bunch of 1A diodes. It will work with that battery just fine.

I have a compustar 2w900fm
I had it wired up according to the dei diagram

after about 6 or so months my alarm just stopped working so I took a look & noticed the 520t module melted

You have a 2W900FM-AS, [alarm/remote start combo unit] and you connected the output from the 520T to one or both of the Compustars power leads, CN1/1 and CN1/3... http://www.staub.ca/tech/Manua...l.pdf ??? 94
