I had one on my old hatch and it worked most of the time. There was one instance when it was having some issues, but after bringing it back to the installer, all was well.

code alarms aren't bad as long as they are programmed correctly. i've had one on my accord for over 3 years now and haven't had any problems. i work at cc and yes we've had problems with them but they were all fixed with proper programming.

yes-- programming is key.

I'd also recommend if you're doing a unit with the master module, disable the internal shock sensor. The thing is a peice of crap and falses like nothing else. We did this for all of our customers and used the add-on external shock sensor instead with no issues. I think there was one other issue with them, I can't remember off of the top of my head, but it was something minor and may have just been more of an annoyence than anything else.

The code alarm door interface (DEI 451M equiv) was nice. Any dodge or other vehical that needed resistors to interface the door locks.. all you had to do was open the module, cut the jumper wires, and turn these two variable resistors to the ohms required, and bam, you're done.

There are lots of good alarms out there, and some real bad ones, but if you stick with a brand name, and Code Alarm is one of them, any DEI alarm, http://www.dei.com or Compustar, http://www.compustar.com you should be fine, most problems with alarms has more to do with the install, [and programing is part of that] then the alarm itself. 94

Ahh yes, the shock sensor. That POS would go off at the smallest instance of a low frequency noise. Even at the lowest settings, any car with a modified exhaust (legal noise limit) would set it off.

hell i swear sometimes it would go off without even any vibrations. I had heard that the issue was the warn away and the set off couldn't be within 10 settings of each other or it would false... but i swear it didnt' matter what you had them set to.
