Default Clifford Smart Remote Trunk Release

Does anybody here with a Civic Coupe or Sedan with a Clifford Intelliguard, Concept, or Avantguard 4 have the Smart Remote Trunk Release option installed? If you have it, how do you like it and how much did it cost?

Would a the trunk release option even work on a Civic because I have been told by a dealer several years ago that the remote trunk releases from alarms don't work with Civics. If this is the case, why is it so?

This is because the civic doesnt have an electric solenoid or anyhting electric that opens the trunk.

When opened with key its a physical connections that does the openning. In order for a remote trunk release to work, a solenoid has to be installed. These can be purchased for about 40 dollars.
