Default Checking stereo

Whats the easiest way to check and see if a car stereo works. I have one laying around and i want to see if it will power up. Whats the easiest way of doing this without wiring it up to my actually car through the stereo wires?

Default Re: Checking stereo (Liquidgsr)

connect the yellow and red to a +12v power supply
and the black wire to the -12v supply

the deck should power up and work

for a sound test you will need a speaker and just connect it to each set of outputs and listen

hope this helps
