Default CDT or Alpine Components? Also which Amp?

My friend listens to a lot of Jazz and some light rock music, after a long debate I think we may have come to the settling point and clicking the order button after one failed time on the polks (MMC650)...

The vehicle they are going in are is an 02 Honda Odyssey, which will be raam-matted.

Well I think my friend and I have come to a conclusion of getting Alpine Type R components (6.5)in; and a matching set of their Type R coaxials in the rear with either a Soundstream or Alpine MRV series amp...

However there's also another option of CDT's:

(CL61A's) on a closeout sale but the salesman at woofersect is sort of pushing for these... He despises of focal as well...
Also the rears with those will be CDT midbasses or the slim mount coaxials..

Also what's a good amp install kit?A farad capacitor won't be nessicary will it?

Thanks....

Also are Soundstream amps = to Alpine Amps?

Have you considered Morel components or the Apine Type-X components? And I like the older Soundstream reference series amps. I have used a few of the Tarantula series amps and they have a good amount of power.

i have a set of the cdt hd. those are great sounds speakers. i found them that they were very sensitive to mounting positions, but if imaged correctly, they'll be alot better than alpine.

I've never heard a person say they didn't like cdt's, but I've personally heard type R components and I think they sound like ***.

I'd get cdt's
