Default Capacitors, split or keep em together?

What I have,

This is the Kole Audio C3.0SD 3.0f 24v each is 1.5f.
I already have 2 12" Audiobahn 2200w max 1100 rms Flame series subs and 2 1000w Pyramid 2ch amps bridged, and 2 optima bateries. yeah its big.

they came together with a plate atthe bottom and a buss bar on the top connecting them now my Question is,should I split them up or keep them together? I was going to mount them separate but they came together and I dont know if they work better this way or apart or does it matter. It would be better for mounting and looks to have them apart.
thanks

i truthfully don't know how you would distribute that, do both go pre distributor block, after with is on split, in series. I am not sure i farads would change if wired in a certain way. i am curious to know the answer to this also, and it needs a bump

well I think I have decided to split them apart, each will have a bout 1.5f to distribute. I'll set it up so that the 2g wire comes from the batt to the distribution block then split to 4g wire to the separate caps then on to the amps. thanks a quick discription but that what I think should work the best.

im guessing by the looks of them they are connected in series...If you connect them in parallel, you will have a total capacitance of 3 Farads [Ct = C1 + C2] but if they are in series, you will only get .75 Farads
[Ct = (C1*C2) / C1+C2) ] ...someone double check me, its been awhile since i was in electronics school...

why would they be connected in series? i cant even see anywires. but the should be in parallel to get the 3F. series will only give .75 and in that case your better of just using 1 cap.

The way he is going to do it will give the best possible results.

Keeping them close together will lower the ESR of the combined set. Having long lengths of wire will increase it. Place the caps as close to the load as possible and keep the lengths of wire as short as possible between the cap and the load.

You would want to wire these in parallel not series.

it doesnt really matter because you still have to run wire to the amps from the caps. keep that short and it won't matter. its really half a dozen in one hand 6 in the other as long as it isn't hooked up in series

this is what the system looks like now, the caps will either be in the middle of the floor, or separate beside each amp.

Capacitance will equal 3. You wire them parrellel to the amps, not series.

you would want them as close to the amps as possible.

Yes, they should be as close to the amp as possible, if your amps are close together then put the caps and the amps together.
If you have your amps apart i.e one under each seat then it might be a good idea to put one with each amp. Having said that, sub amps will draw more current on bass notes so you might want to put them both close to your sub amp.
