Default capacitor install help!

I bought a 1.0 farad cap for my eclipse sound system and need to install it but never have. I read some installation instructions on how to install but never really understood, so if anyone can give me detailed instructions on how to install it I would appreciate it. P.S. Have a red optima red top relocated in the trunk so everything is back there.

And do you have to charge the cap before you install it like some people say or just install it and turn on the car and you're done.

Charging prevents arcing which could damage the bling factor. If you dont care just hook it up.

The intent is to install a cap as close to the subwoofer amplifier as possible.
You connect it in parallel with the amp.

Thru a light bulb or resistor that came with the unit.

Pull out the fuse from the wire that feeds the system, hook everything up, and then install the light bulb in place of the fuse. At first, it will glow, and then slowly it will go out. When it goes out, reinstall the fuse.

Any 20 watt bulb would do.
