Can anyone help me with security?
I have a prelude that has been stolen once previously. It was not stolen from me, but from the previous owner who decided to sell it afterwards. Right now the only thing done for security is an alarm system that has a hood alarm and the two door ajar alarms. thats about it as far as i know tho. any help here would be appreciated. thanks.

depending your alarm system... a good alarm system is upgradable...
-remote start
-2 way paging
-GPS tracking
-dual stage or triple stage shock sensors
-start kill
-trunk sensor
-proximity sensor
-sound detector
even video camera and flame throwers is a possilbilty.
your biggest thing to deal with is your actual alarm system you have now. Check your remote first... if its dei (viper, valet, rattler, blah) it is very possible you can upgrade and add components to enhance security. You can also add these things yourself if you know how relays sensors and the brain of the alarm works. My advice...
if the car got stolen With the security system installed... junk the system, buy a nice viper 691xv or 791xvr and you should be strait. good luck with the car.

IMO the only way to get a well installed alarm is to pay through the a$$ or do it yourself.
I would invest in a decent alarm that has some kind of ignition kill except start kill. an Autolockpro and a GPS tracking device hidden in the car.
