building a sub box
im planning the construction of my sub box and i was curious wat is a good type of wood to use and where i could get it. im not shooting for anything super high quality just something that will get the job done for a good price.

It also comes in 5/8. Home Depot has 3/4 for something like $25 for a 8x4 feet sheet. The 5/8 sheet is only a few bucks less.

Yes....MDF (medium density fiberboard) or HDF (high density)
is your friend. Avg price at home centers is $20-25 per 4'x8' sheets-which are better in the price catagory than a precut 2'x4' hobby sheet. .75 " is the best for most applications,but depending on sub type and use 1.0" or .5" can work as well.
