I have been working on my car for the last week and i have turned off my alarm by the little key so my alarm didnt go over when i d/c the battery now when i turned it back on the siren's does not work but it still unlocks the doors is there some kind of battery in the alarm that might be dead?
You are turning the backup batt. siren off and on.
Is it the only siren you have?
It is a good bet that if the door locks still work but alarm is not arming, your alarm is in valet mode.
What is the make and model of the alarm?

im from new zealand so we dont have the same brand names its the only siren i have when i press the key pay it locks and unlocks but there is no beep like there usally is could the back up battery be dead inside of the siren?
I agree...Your alarm could very well be in valet mode. I know you mentioned you are from New Zealand and the alarm brands may vary, but it may help to post the name anyways incase it may ring a bell to some of us. One thing you could try in the meantime though (to see if the siren is actually dead) is try panicing the alarm to see if the siren goes off. If it does, then chances are it is in valet mode. If you panic the alarm and your lights flash etc, but no audible siren sound then it is quite possible that either your siren is dead, you have a bad connection to it, or the siren output could be shot. In any event, I'd try the panic feature if your alarm has one first to see what happens. Good luck!

Does the siren sound if you disconnect the batt.?
If so, check the alarms siren output to the siren.
If not, make sure you have the siren "turned on" properly.
Although I have never heard of them I like them already, a few seconds of Googling got me this... http://www.mongoose.co.nz/pdf/M60.PDF
