I believe that wire is fused in the main fuse box, so no, it's not really necessary to fuse it again.

The alt is directly connected to the main fuse box...

i think its the 2nd big wire coming out from it, one goes to the bat, the other goes to the alt...

if you are just adding a wire, its easier to connect it to the positive terminal on the battery, but if you are replacing it.. its cleaner to connect it to the fuse box, where the original wire was connected to...

that is correct when your positive lead comes off the battery one end goes to the starter and the other to the fuse box...after this it is fused with a 60 - 80 A fuse then the wire comes back out and goes to the alternator

i don't think the oem fuses it...

there is a big metal plate connecting the two main wires in the fuse box...

so it should be fine...

i always heard if you run a wire from the alt to the battery you should fuse it as close to the battery as possible. if you are getting a 130amp alt, fuse it with 120 or 125 for example. that way if the rectifier in the alt or something else goes bad, it won't fry the wire and possibly catch fire.

A fuse is not needed.

The connection can be made at the stock location in the engine bay fuse box or the batt., the batt. is a better, [and easier] spot and connects the alt. directly to the amp power lead. 94 94
