Well, Jimmi Jammers have their place. That'll make it more difficult to get in unnoticed (have to break a window instead). It also depends on what you're protecting: The entire car, or the contents.

(Also, in before 10 people say "garage" or similar regurgitated "fix-alls".)

The car is kept in a garage when at home.

I am trying to protect the car iteself. No fancy sound system or valuables are inside the car.

Any ideas or links to specific products? Thanks

clutch lock. it holds the clutch pedal down and you can lock it so the clutch wont work. it looks like a steering whel club but only for the clutch pedal

put the key, in a locked box when at home.

but the club or clutch/brake lock adds time, so the thief may skip over it...

basically anything at adds time to getting the car to start and moving helps deter some thieves..

but those things wont help you if its towed...

with an alarm... at least it would be blaring or even page you if it was unknowingly towed...

who here has ever known someone personally to have there car stolen by being towed away ?????????????????????????????????????????????????? ?????????????????????????????????????????????????? ?????????????????????????????????????????????????? ?????????????????????????????????????????????????? ????????????????????????????????

i hate how people say "if they want it that will get it." thats not always true most theft is the result of random occurence. meaning hey im just walking by and then boom oh man nice car i want it.

if you can increase the time it takes to steal, then you probably saved the car, BUT my favorite method of security is hidden GPS and quick disconnecting break lines, sure you may still my car but i may have just taken your life because you decided to make a stupid decision and i can live with knowing that i killed you cause your scum bag ****.

I have a clutch autolock. I hope it works. lol. I always put on my bright yellow steering wheel cover to tell that I have autolock on.
