Im having a problem guys. While driving, my alarm arms and disarms itself. Mostly at high speeds (50+) but it does it while driving slow too. It unlocks and locks the doors, the clock light goes on and off, and once in a while it will let off a 2 second horn sound. All I know is that its an old Crime Stopper Gargoyle. If anyone can help me out, it is much appreciated

It may be that the brain has just gone west. Time for a new alarm. 94

Bad ground. I can almost gurantee it.

 

I would also check the alarms ign. input, along with all the rest of the wiring.

The symptoms indicate a grounding problem, maybe alarm plug is not plugged into brain properly.

Another possibility is "latching", [alarm brain is "scrambled"] you can also try a "reboot" disconnect batt. neg. lead wait 5-15 min. and reconnect, or unplug brain wait and reconnect. 94
