Back Panel Rattling
I installed some Alpine Type R's all around in my car. Naturally they should vibrate the doors and back panel. I had excessive rattling though at any mid to high volumes.
After removing the panel again I found out that the plastic mounts were rattling against the metal which was causing the majority of the noise. I fixed that with some foam as shown in the below pictures. I also added more foam where the back panel and metal frame made contact. This helped a lot, but still makes decent noises.
Does anyone with a killer audio system have any suggestions to minimize the noise. I already know Dynamat would help a bit. other than that, any suggestions?

The rattle does not have to be coming from something the speaker touches. Therefore dynamat might help cover a large area of places it could be rattling. Or you can thump on the deck until you find the rattle, then fix it. Can foam might work for areas you can hear it but not get to with dynamat. G/L
Start by replacing the plastic mounts with MDF plates.
I would also cover both the rear deck, "back panel" and the doors, [replace the plastic vapor barrier] with Dynamat, [or the like] and install the MDF plates over the Dynamat.
