Default Re: Autolock scam? (Marauder)

My ITR was stolen from a secure parking lot, with cameras and guards, in 4 minutes!

The stock immobilizer is a joke if you ask me. Get yourself a proprietary unit like I did. I like to think of it as an advanced kill switch, that works in conjunction with other kill switches. SHOULD the bad guys find one or all of my kill switches, they will not know if they are working around them or is the immobilizer still active, or did they miss another kill switch.

To the starter of this post, i'm sorry to hear about your loss; I know how it feels. I watched mine pull away on the security tapes. I now have the autolock too. I noticed something in their "fine print" that says you need to return the receipt and warranty card within 15days to qualify for the reimbursement. The $5000 is the MAX for your deductible, in my case it would only be $500 which is my deductible. Many people think they give you $5k if your car gets stolen with it on., lol they would be bankrupt in a week!

shave ALL KEY holes & door handles - install glass break sensors & hood pop sensors. Install Sirens W/ in tha cab of tha car. Install Lexan windows in the rear section of the car.(to prevent from smashing rear glass for stereo system) - lock car in a garage - live in tha middle of no-where.

Hrmm i jsut got an idea:
Put car on jack stands - remove front left & right Rear wheels from the car. Wrap plastic coated Heavy gauge Steal Chains around 2 remaining wheels - BOLT securly to the floor of yoru garage.(assuming u have a thick cement floor)

***only recommended for SHOW Cars***
for cars that arent driven on a daily basis.

i think that should hold it... hehehahahha
