im lukin to buy an eclipse tv dvd head unit.. im not sure the modell number but can anyone tell if they are any good? it is the highest model they carry

 

eclipse is the ****, i have the 55090(indash dvd-no monitor)and it plays anything, the most scratched cd i could find sounded good. i have never had any problems. well worth the money

eclipse system are a very good choice. Especially if you are going with their TV system. I know that the older model which is 7001 was pretty good.

 

Eclipse makes very good stuff.
They are serious about their products unlie some other crappy companies.

 

the highest model tbat eclipse offers is the AVX2494. which is a double din and isnt available until april

Except Burned CD's..

But Eclipse Monitors are the ****.. Not only are one of the only ones with 8 Volt pre-out. But a 3 Year Warranty on it is bitchin.. Spending that much on a piece I would want to have that much coverage.

I own a AV5101 right now. Its an old school unit I have had for awhile. But its pretty sweet. I reccomend buying a New One though.. It you buy a Used one the 9 times out of 10 it will be locked and you cannot get it unlocked by any Eclipse dealer if their smart.

 

I had an Eclipse in dash DVD with monitor never had any problems

i stand correct you .. they play and burned CD type except VCD.. i should kno.. ive done dvd-mp3
cd mp3
cd audio
dvd
dvdr
dvdrw + and -
plays all i have the AV 8022 almost top of the line.. the latest model till the new one came out recently..


also eclipse have theft warrenty

it does play burned cd's

 

eclipse is the shitzs...use to work at AL's and Ed's had a lot of experience with different head units and all I can say is that eclipse might not have the best looking head units they are the cleanest sounding by far

We got them in last week, they are cool as **** and really easy to use, I'm really impressed. Especially since it has built in NAV. All for about 2200 bucks too~!
