Default Is this system setup any good?

I don't know too much about this stuff. This is what I'm going to buy. Can anyone with any experience with these items let me know if you like them.

Alpine CDA-9887 CD Receiver
Infinity Kappa 692.7i 6"x9" 2-way Speakers
Infinity Kappa 52.7i 5-1/4" 2-way Speaker
Infinity Kappa 10.7t 1" M.M.D. Dome Tweeters

Thanks in advance!

Is it good? That's a completely relative question. Might sound great to you, but sound like complete doo-doo to someone else.

Is it good equipment? Sure. I wouldn't buy the tweeters though... They'll probably be too bright compared to the 5 1/4's.

Why are you getting point source (coaxil) speakers, AND separate tweeters...?

Might as well just get the KAPPA50.7CS or the KAPPA PERFECT 5.1.

Pretty much agree with both the above^^^.

Above average HU and pretty good speakers, installed properly it will sound very good, [as mentioned "relatively"] and you do not need the tweeters, they will only "mess up" the sound. 94

I'm putting it in a 2003 civic coupe. I'm not looking for a system to be heard a mile away. I want a clear, good sounding stereo.

Sound quality over volume, just like me. That is good. I run a Sony Xplod setup, and it has the same sound quality as a home theater system, complete with bass from the speakers. The speakers have a Highly-Oriented Polypropelene woofer cone, PEI Dome Tweeter and PEI Dome Supertweeter, rated for 60W RMS. Frequency response on the speakers: 30Hz to 30kHz, 96dB sensitivity, and 0.1% total harmonic distortion. They are a nice set of speakers if you want sound quality.
