When I had my civic, I just unscrewed the 2 bolt holding down the antenna and pulled I remember tying a piece of wire to the end since I was installing a new antenna, but you don't need to worry about that.

what is the part number of the block off plate??? i need to purchase one.. and to answer your question, just pull on it.. it will come out.. if you get under the dash it is secured w/ a zip tie that snaps off.. hard to see the antenna wire just trace it back as far as you can from the antenna..

ive had XM radio installed in my car for over a year now and i hardly ever listen to the crapy am/fm stations anymore.. im going to install an internal antenna that i can install under my dash or in the window for when i do listen to the am/fm stereo for local news and what not..
