Amp throwing an error....
Ok I posted that my there was a problem with my amp...it wasnt pushing power to the subs. Ok I fixed that problem. Now my amp worked for about 10 minutes then threw a E-3 code on my LCD display screen. What is wrong and how can i fix it? Its a mrd m500 alpine thanks
Ok Ifound out what E-3 is its excessive current. How do I fix that? I got hte code ot go away a few times but it still pops up like 5 minutes later. Whats the problem?
Again go to http://www.alpine.com click on Support FAQ and then on speakers and amps, or contact us, customer sevice is 1 800 421 2284

Well thanks again for the same website. I mean trully I hate calling companies cause you get the run around and it takes you hours to fix the problem when it could take minutes. Which is why I am asking you all but seems like no one can help. Thanks alot tho
How do you have the subs wired what is the final load, [impedance]? Alpine amps are not stable below 2 ohms, and depending on what Type R subs you have DVC 2 ohm or DVC 4 ohm and how they are wired parallel or series or a combination of both, if they are all paralleled you would have a 1 ohm load on the DVC 4 ohms a .5 ohm load on the DVC 2 ohms , so how they are wired may be a problem

the subs i got are the SWR-1221D whichever that is. I have them wired as so....you have a postive and negative on each side, i have the + wire from my amp goin to one sides + then the - goes to the other sides negative with a wire connect the other sides - with the last + if that makes sense.
is this right or wrong? but the thing about it is that it still throws the code even when I dont have the subs hooked to the amp... could it be my headunit?
