Default amp and sub wiring help!!!!!!!!

hi guys im stuck. need help wiring my pionner amp and sub to my deck
ok i have already run a wire from the + side of the battery to the power section of the amp, and have run a small wire to a bolt in the trunk and have those 2 wires the red and the white connected to the sub output of the deck and connected to the amp and have 2 + and - wires running across my amp and sub, i also have this thin blue wire which i think commands the amp when to turn on, ok i have that in the right position inside my amp and i dont know where to connect this wire to the back of the deck. well i know that its gotta be a connected to one of those wires coming out of the decks rear but dont know which color. i have 3 wires hanging loose a blue, orange, and ... someother color, i have connected it to every one of them seperetly and didnt get the system to work.
also its a sony deck
////////\ any thoughts about where im mistaking here ?

the thin blue wire u refer to is your remote turn on lead.....just connect that to the blue wire on the back of your sony deck...

if that doesnt werk....u might have something connected backwards....is there another blue wire with a white stripe??? if so, connect the turn on lead from the amp to that and see if it werks...normally there is a diagram on the bottom or the head unit that tells u what color each wire is for....

connect the rca's to the audio out rear.....the Bus audio in is for INPUT NOT OUTPUT....then switch back and forth between the blue and blue/white to see if the amp turns on....

What is the model number of the Sony HU?

What is the make and model of the amp and sub?.

You say, " and have run a small wire to a bolt in the trunk I assume you mean a ground wire, the ground lead needs to be the same gauge or thicker then the power cable for the amp, you must be careful, if the amp is not grounded properly the amp will "get' its ground through the RCAs, "those 2 wires the red and the white signal return, [signal ground] and that will burn tracers on the HUs or amps PC board, and even if amp does turn on, there will be no signal to the amp, so no sound.
What "bolt" in the trunk is the ground connected to and what gauge is it? 94

okay no luck again, i connected the RCAs to the audio out rear and i connected the remote turn on lead wire to every one of those three wires and still no luck.

OK the deck is a sony mp3 model CDX-GT300
Amp is Pioneer 300W model GM-3200T
Sub is Pioneer also model TS-W306C
oh and the power wire and the ground wire are pretty thik, plus i used to have this system with a diffrent deck in my other car which was installed by a profesional and was working for more than a year.

OK, now how about what bolt, in the trunk, the small wire is going to?

Or did you mean short wire, [now that you have said the power and ground leads are "are pretty thik", still need to know what bolt it is going to?

Try this, use a jumper wire, [short scrape piece of wire] and jump from the amps batt. input to the amps control input, does amp turn on, [amp on indicator light]?

You also say, "and have 2 + and - wires running across my amp and sub"

How exactly do you have the sub wired, one sub but 2 sets of speaker leads, you do have the amp bridged into mono, right?

You should only be connecting speaker leads to the amps right channel neg.(-) and left channel pos.(+). 94

um ok. so the ground wire running from the amp to the chasey bolt is as thik as the power wire, now their thik alright! lol and i connected the ground wire to a size 10 bolt i think it is that holds my tail light in place. and sorry i ment a short wire not small.
so far the amps light hasnt turned on but i have tryed with a amp meter and im getting 12 V coming into the amp.
and for ur other question, i have one wire running from the amps (-) to the subs (-) and a wire from the apms (+) to the subs (+)

OK, that's what I needed to know, the nut on a tail light mounting stud is a poor ground, the stud itself is not grounded it is mounted to a plastic housing, the sheet metal it goes through is also not a good ground as it is semi isolated from the cars floor pan, move the ground to a bolt/stud in the cars floor pan, rear seat and seat belt bolts make very good ground, don't forget to sand off right down to bare metal.

The amp control output lead on you HU is blue/white.
You will need to confirm that there is 12V+ on this lead when HU is on, you can test it at the amp.

Question, does the amps indicator light turn on?

" i have one wire running from the amps (-) to the subs (-) and a wire from the amps (+) to the subs (+) " The question is which neg.(-) and pos.(+) on the amp are you connected to? 94

ok i trired wat u said i cut up a peace of wire and i connected the power from the amp to that lead section on the amp and the amps light went on for a sec and i went off, so i tried again and it went on and off again. and then i tried again and it didnt go on anymore. but i think the amp is okay cause there is a fuse on it which is still okay. so i dont know wat to do anymore, i think now im gona have to try and change the ground to a better place, that could be why its not working.

Definitely change the ground.

Then before you try the amp again, disconnect the the sub from the amp, [remove the speaker leads from the amp], see if the amps indicator light will now stay on.

BTW you have not said which pos.(+) and neg,(-) on the amp the speaker leads are connected to.

A fuse, [that is not blown] is no indication of the condition of the amp.

One more question, what type of fuse is in the amps power cable? 94

might be your ground wire because i connected my voice amp the right way but no luck then i tried connecting the ground in another place and then it worked. try to find a better ground for your amp, not every place with metal on it will be a good ground.

yeyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
ok guys its done, its working like a charm and it pounds real good, just enough for the passengers in the car and it doesn't go shaking the whole car either, exactly wat i wanted.
the problem was the grounding, i sanded the painted around the bolt on the chasey and reconnected the ground to and everything started working.\
SO big thanks to "fcm", i appreciate all ur help, and without the help u gave me along this project it would have took me alot longer to figure out the problem, i was about to take it to a proffesional cause it was starting to confuse me why it wasn't working.
also thanks to "groundzerocivic". he helped me at the begining with it.
