Default amp and speakers???

i have 2 12 audiobahn 1200Q, the ones that are 700 RMS...and they are DVC...will a a8000T ( its about 800x1 )....

is this enough to power the 2 audiobahns...?

right now im using an mtx 8302 which is around 425x1...it hits but im sure that a bigger amp will do much better...any ideas...right now i have them + to + and - to -, bridged onto 1 channel...is this how i'll wire them to the a8000T

okay i did some research and it looks like the 1200q's are able to get down to 1ohm...and a8000t amp is 400x1 at 4ohms and 800x1 at 2ohms...so looks like im in need of a mono/1ohm amp...any suggestions...my other option is to get a class d audiobahn amp, but it runs for 700+..ha ha ha, a little pricey for me, im willing to spend 3-400, any suggestions on a decent 1ohm amp...for the 2 1200qs...

i would get an amp thats 1ohm stable. then you would be able to get the full potential out the speakers , but that amp should do the job

I agree, the amp will be fine. if you are running an audiobahn amp at 1 ohm, it will overheat pretty quick, as will most (even if they say 1 ohm stable.)

NOOOO!!!! JBL amps overheat REALLY easy. I would recomend a US Amps if you really want to go 1 ohm. they are competition quality for SPL, and aren't too $$ on ebay. Plus they are huge!!

i talked to some guy at CIRCUIT CITY and he said that you could wire the 1200q's to 2ohms...he says that on the 12's you'd wire + to -, on both, then the remaining +s go together and to the amp, and the -s together then to the amp, he said it would be 2ohms..??? anyone know which is right..if it is 2ohms then i can use the a8000T amp?

like i said, on sounddomain.com it shows the speakers at 1ohm...
