Default Amp quit working need help

I don't know what's wrong with my amplifier. There is no sound coming through my speakers. I checked all the rca and the wiring and that's okay. The amp turns on and everything but no music.THANX

overheated? or maybe you blew the internal fuse. Or the fuse on your wiring kit.

is this your first time running/turning on the system? or you mean it worked before and all of a sudden it stopped working? check all your connections.. power, ground, speaker wires, RCA's, connection to speakers or subs, fuses, etc... maybe you bumped it too hard and the thermal protection kicked in?

I think I problely bumped it too hard because I barely had my gains up so I turned the deck on to like 40 and I still barely heard it and all of a sudden it quit working. Now it won't even turn back on just have this hissing noise. What I mean by quit working is no more music is being output by the amplifier. It turns on. Thanks for the help guys I appreciate it

damn not sure what kind of deck you have.. but on my Alpine I think 35 or 40 is MAX volume.. I hope you didn't send your amp/speakers into distortion heaven and blow them out or anything... try swapping amps (temporarily) w/ one of your homeboi's and see if it works in his car.. maybe you blew the amp.. i dunno..

Im sure sum1 will post a way for you to test it or something.. good luck..

it sounds like you blew out the outputs on your amp..... if your listing to your system in your car and it over heats and cut off.... its becasue you're playing it at the wrong ohm load.. if you have two 4 ohm subs bridge on a 4 ohm amp.... thats your problem your taking it down to low for the amp... after a while of playing like that ... you can blow out your out puts on the amp...

I appreciate all the help guys. seems like I problely blew out the outputs on the amplifier or there is an internal problem which i have no clue on how to fix. Looks like it gave me a good reason to upgrade the system.
