Amp protected light is on???
Im connecting a sound system in my car and the subwoffers dont turn on. I have good power, a good remote, and good ground. I used a test light so I know the follwing is all good. For some reason there is no power out of the amp speaker exits. Any ideas on wat i should do??? Theres also a protected red light that is on.

Re: Amp protected light is on???
What is the make and model of the amp?
If a protection light is on on an amp with no speakers connected to it the amp, as mentioned, is toast, probably blown output stage. 94

Re: Amp protected light is on???
Try that.
If it does it only when the speakers are hooked, there is a short in them. Meaning, a toasted voice coil (or voice coils). Check each sub individually with a ohm meter. Check the speaker connections in the box as well.
