Default AMP problems, JL Audio

hi i have a JL Audio 500/1 and my system doesn't seem to be working, the amp has power but it doesn't have any power to push my sub, which is a 12w6v2. ive have checked all the wires and they are all well connected so any ideas would be great thanks Tony

your channel could be fried. i had a 2 channel crappy amp and one of the channels fried too much power or something. so now i can only use 1 channel for my 2 subs... gay

how would you tell if it is fried? its a one channel amp

you could try using a multimeter to see if the channel is giving out power
