Default amp problem???

i installed a 12" sub last sunday (Rockford fosgate he2, the amp is a rockford fosgate 750s) they were working fine all week until i blew the fuse connecting to the battery. I put another fuse in and it blew after not even a minute, the positive came loose. so i tried once more, and the sub works and the amp is on, but there is literally no kick to it at all, you cannot hear a thing from it but it is working. what could the problem be?
thanks
-Ty

Your head unit may have reset the settings on itself when you disonnected the battery.

Sounds like a power problem, check your ground and make sure the power cable is attached properly.

what size fuse do you got a 80 would work the best anything about 500 watts and up really should have it.. Check all of yout power and ground wires also. If it is over 500 watts you might also need 4 guage power and ground it's like almost the biggest wire out becides odd guage, it's like as round as a nickle or a penny.

Generally with amps blowing fuses its not always a too much power issue, anytime you have a loose power (at the power terminal) any corrosion there it could short out...also check your grounds and your wires going into the amp itself, wires might be touching each other causing the short....better the fuse than the car and amp.
