Amp overheating..?
Ok I accidently got the positive and negative sub wires touching, didn't know it for a few days because was tearing car apart. But now my subs comes and goes and the amp for the sub is hot like in 1 minutes to where you can't even touch it. Is my amp blown or just a fuse? I checked all the wire and nothing was loose? Anyone know what it might be

You have damaged the output stage of your amp, have it repaired before there is more damage done

Do you know how much it would cost to repair it? Would it be cheaper to go through a authorized dealer or call Fosgate directly?

</TD></TR></TABLE> Go to the place you got it, don't say anything about a short, if its still under warranty, you may just get it fixed for free, if there is no warranty, take it to an authorized repair shop, [you can find one off Fosgates site] can't tell you what it will cost, but expect to pay around $100
