Amp Kit
Well i was looking at amp kits today and was wondering what the diference is between a 1000 Watt amp kit and a 800 watt amp kit. They both use the same gauge wire size. Only thing is that one is 50 dollars more just because it says that it can handle more power when the power and ground cables are the same gauge. So what is the differnece?
Are they the same brand?
Do they both use the same type of fuse and holder?
Do they both use the same "grade" of RCA cable?
If yes to all 3, then you have to know its just a marketing ripoff.
I am no fan of "amp kits" installing a 17' RCA when all you need is 9 or maybe 12 feet is not the best way to do it.
There are amp "power" kits, [no RCAs] and they may be OK, if they have proper ring terminals, waffer, [ANL] fuse and holder, [nut and bolt type] and use high quality TSW, [Multi strand] OFC wire.

If it's like this one... http://www.rockfordfosgate.com...=1555 it will work fine, just make sure any ring terminals that are already on the cable is soldered and any you add you solder.
