Default Alternator question??

How much amps is a stock alternator on a 92-95 civic rated at? How much amps is sufficient to run a car with 2400 watts?

I think 65 or so. Regardless you need the biggest think you can get your hands on

If found a 135 amp for $199.99 and a 150 amp for $249.99 which has a capability of 70 amps at idle. Are those good prices? Whats the highest amperage you know of? What are the price ranges for a good alternator?

Those are about the best you can get in the honda alternator casing. If you are willing to go to a small case GM alternator then you can get over 200. There is another topic right now on this same subject.

BTW, those are from alterstart right?

Trust Powermaxx - then look at their pricing!! This is an actual system, not just an alternator - retail pricing on their units is around $900 if memory serves...
